Our Sustainable Commitment

The CSR Approach of the Installux Group

At Groupe Installux, we firmly believe that social responsibility is the key to long-term success. By integrating ethical and sustainable practices into all our activities, we are committed to making a positive difference for our planet, our employees, and our communities. Discover how our CSR approach guides us in every decision and action, as we build a better and more responsible world together.

Our Commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Group Installux is actively committed to a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach that voluntarily integrates social and environmental concerns into its commercial activities and relationships with stakeholders. We aspire to develop ethical and sustainable practices to contribute to the challenges of sustainable development. This approach is part of our overall vision of creating a better future for our employees, customers, partners, and society as a whole.

CSR is at the heart of our business strategy. It guides our decisions and daily actions, ensuring that every aspect of our activity is conducted responsibly and sustainably. Our CSR commitment is based on four main pillars: designing responsible solutions, building a virtuous operational model, nurturing our territories and sectors, and ensuring the well-being and development of people.

A Collaborative and Cross-functional Approach

Our employees from various entities of the Installux Group join forces to implement a CSR approach that reflects our common vision. Together, we work around four major key themes to build a sustainable and responsible future.

Our teams are organised into dedicated work groups, each focusing on a specific theme of our CSR approach. This collaborative approach allows us to leverage the diverse skills and perspectives of our employees while promoting innovation and efficiency in the implementation of our CSR initiatives.

Designing Responsible Solutions

Sustainable Innovation and Eco-design

We strive to design innovative and sustainable solutions that meet our customers’ needs while minimising our environmental impact. This includes the use of recyclable materials such as aluminium, the integration of ecological criteria in the design of our products, and the development of high-performance solutions in the building sector.

Aluminium, our main material, is a perfect illustration of our commitment to eco-design. 100% and infinitely recyclable, the aluminium we use comes from responsible sources and is transformed into durable and high-performance products.

In 2023, 96% of our aluminium billet purchases were green billets produced using hydroelectricity (this ratio almost doubled in 2 years).

Additionally, our research and development teams are constantly working to improve our production processes and design products that meet the highest environmental standards. Each new product is designed with the aim of reducing its environmental impact throughout its lifecycle, from production to end-of-life, through its use.

Building a Virtuous Operational Model

Efficiency and Responsibility

We aim to optimise our operations to reduce our carbon footprint and promote responsible management practices. This includes efficient resource management, waste reduction, and the adoption of clean technologies.

One of the key elements of our virtuous operational model is our commitment to limit and control our carbon footprint.

We invest significantly in our industrial equipment to drastically reduce our energy consumption (installation of photovoltaic panels, multi-site LED relamping operations…). We work on the daily optimisation of our operations, such as significantly reducing water consumption, waste treatment, switching to more virtuous modes of transport (rail transport, electrification…), and we are committed to a responsible purchasing policy (local purchases, suppliers selected based on their CSR commitment…).

We have also implemented a carbon footprint analysis matrix that allows us to communicate to our customers the CO2 consumption associated with their aluminium orders. This transparency is essential to raise our customers’ awareness of environmental issues and encourage them to adopt more sustainable practices.

Nurturing our Territories and Sectors

Support for Local Communities

We are committed to supporting local communities and strengthening our relationships with stakeholders. This involves local partnerships and initiatives aimed at promoting the economic and social development of the territories where we operate.

We firmly believe that our success depends on the well-being and prosperity of the communities in which we are located. That is why we strive to create local jobs, support local businesses, and contribute to the development of local infrastructure. For example, our Campus Aluminium programm offers professional training to young people and adults in career transition, enabling them to acquire the skills necessary to succeed in the aluminium sector.

Our social responsibility initiatives also include corporate volunteering programmes where our employees dedicate time to community projects and charitable organisations. Additionally, we support sustainable development projects such as tree planting, wetland restoration, and biodiversity protection.

We also work closely with our suppliers to ensure that our purchases are made responsibly. We ensure that our suppliers adhere to high standards of human rights, working conditions, and environmental protection.

We are also involved in professional organisations in the sector to aim for increasingly virtuous activity.

Ensuring the Well-being and Development of People

Quality of Life at Work and Inclusion

The well-being of our employees is at the heart of our CSR approach. We promote diversity and inclusion, offer professional development opportunities, and strive to create a healthy and balanced work environment.

Our commitment to quality of life at work is reflected in various initiatives aimed at improving the physical and mental well-being of our employees. For example, we have implemented health and wellness programmes that include sports sessions, stress management workshops, and regular medical consultations. We have also created ergonomic and comfortable workspaces to reduce the risk of injuries and improve productivity.

We also recognise the importance of work-life balance. That is why we offer telecommuting options and flexible hours to help our employees manage their family and professional responsibilities. Additionally, we have established a disconnection charter to ensure that our employees can rest and recharge outside of working hours.

Diversity and inclusion are also fundamental values for us. We strive to create an inclusive work environment where everyone feels respected and valued, regardless of their background, gender, age, or sexual orientation. We have implemented mentoring and training programmes to promote equal opportunities and help our employees reach their full potential.

Furthermore, we are committed to providing professional development opportunities to our employees. We invest in continuous training and skills development to enable our employees to progress in their careers and adapt to market changes. For example, our Campus Aluminium programme offers specialised training in aluminium trades as well as management and leadership courses.

By adhering to the Global Compact, we commit to upholding the ten universal principles related to Human Rights, labour standards, the environment, and anti-corruption. We integrate these principles into our strategy, policies, and operations, and commit to transparency and accountability in our annual reports.
